INTRODUCTION

Elevation and external walls are barriers built so that the weathering effect is protected and the interior environment is air-tight and water-tight. If these walls start leaking and result in seepage, the strength and purpose of the walls start weakening. Cracks, joints and trap areas are possible sources for water penetration and must be protected to safeguard the interiors and the very purpose of the wall.
It is imperative to employ an appropriate elastomeric waterproofing configuration to protect the walls
from such weathering effects like water ingress, carbonation, damp substrates, etc. Investments on waterproofing are way lower in comparison to the continuous repair costs caused by damage that seepage and leakage. Below are some recommended products that can be used for the waterproofing of external walls.

Required Substrate: R.C.C/Cement Plaster

1. Surface preparation: Chipping, dry and wet cleaning. Crack repairing: Ascobond AR 470, Ascofill & Ascoglass FR. Patch work for leveling: Ascogrout & Ascobond AR 470.
2. Priming: Ascoguard.
3. Coating: 2-3 coats of Ascoguard.
4. Paint: As required.
