Ascoflex II

ASCOFLEX II/ ASCOFLEX II PRIME is an elastomeric, 2-part, brushable sealing slurry. It consists of a cement based polymer modified powder mortar (component A) and an acrylic resin emulsion (component B). After hardening it forms a seamless and joint less membrane offering strong adhesion, very high elasticity and waterproofing. It dries to form a exible and tough waterproof membrane. ASCOFLEX II/ ASCOFLEX II PRIME can be applied by brush or roller.

It is used for waterproofing surfaces made of concrete, plaster, bricks, cement-blocks, mosaic, gypsum boards, wood, metal etc
It can also be used for waterproofing of basements, internally or externally
Where high elasticity and good adhesion
Suitable for waterproofing of substrates

Applied simply and quickly in three or more layers.
It has an excellent adhesion with many substrates.
High elongation and crack-bridging ability.
1 mm coating provides anti carbonation cover equivalent to 75 cm of concrete.
It can be applied to 24 hours old concrete, for immediate protection.
Allows the substrate to breath.
High resistance to water penetration.
Bonds with slightly wet surfaces without priming.
Protects constructions from the corrosive effects of humidity.

  • 2 – 3 kg/m² @ 1 to 2 mm thickness depending on the roughness and the demands of the surface.
  • 3 – 5 kg/m² @ 2 to 2.5 mm thickness with use of ASCOGLASS FR for high hydrostatic pressures.

Combined 17.5 Kg package (12.5 Kg polymerized cementitious powder + 5 Kg acrylic polymer dispersion) in Grey / White colour

12 months from production date, if stored in original, unopened packaging in places protected from moisture, sun exposure and frost.

  • ASCOFLEX II/ ASCOFLEX II PRIME it can be applied on clean surfaces free of materials that might prevent bonding e.g. dust, loose particles, grease etc. The success in the application depends on the right preparation of the underlay and use of the material.
  • Water leaks should be plugged with ASCOGROUT.
  • Any cavities in concrete surface should be filled in and smoothed out using (ASCOBOND 450/ASCOBOND AR 470 : WATER : CEMENT) in ratio of 1:1.5:3 as recommended. After all loose aggregate have been removed, the surface should be well moistened.
  • Existing cracks or work joints are opened longwise in an inverse “V” shape in a depth of about 1-2 cm and are subsequently filled with ASCOFILL & ASCOBOND AR 470.
  • Corners like the joint of oors with vertical walls should be filled in and rounded smooth with ASCOGROUT followed by ASCOSEAL TAPE ROLL (formation of a groove having a triangle cross-section with 5-6 cm sides).
  • In case of masonry walls, joints should be first filled in carefully, otherwise it is recommended to apply a cement mortar layer first improved with ASCOLITE READY MIX MORTAR.
  • For sealing of basements in old buildings, any existing wall plastering should be removed to a height of upto 50 cm above the water level and then should be proceeded as above.

  1. ASCOFLEX II/ ASCOFLEX II PRIME is the content of the 12.5 Kg bag (Part A) is added to the 5 Kg of liquid (Part B) under continuous stirring, until a uniform viscous mixture is formed, suitable for brush application.
  2. The entire surface of the substrate should be dampened well, but without creating any water puddles.
  3. The material is applied by brush in 2 or more layers, depending on the water effect. Brushing must be in perpendicular directions i. e. If first coat is horizontal than second coat will be applied vertically.
  4. Each new coating is applied in after the previous one is slightly wet.

  • Freshly coated surfaces should be protected from high temperatures, rain and frost for at least 24 hours.
  • For open terrace/ roof or negative high pressures, it is recommended to use ASCOGLASS FR.
  • For internal sealing on oorings, it is recommended the final covering of the AASCOFLEX II/ ASCOFLEX II PRIME be done with concrete, IPS or tiles.
